UAB Football Requests Military Shout-Out Videos

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - As part of UAB's Military Appreciation Day on Nov. 8 at Legion Field, Blazer fans now have the opportunity to join UAB Athletics in honoring the brave men and women of America's armed forces.
UAB Athletics is collecting videos to use during the Nov. 8 home football game vs. Louisiana Tech. Designated as Military Appreciation Day, UAB is looking for videos from both active military members as well as civilian UAB fans. Select submissions will be used on the video board throughout the game as we pay tribute to America's heroes.
All video and photo submissions can be emailed to Katie Whitley at katiebw@uab.edu.
Active Military Members
Video Request - Attention active military personnel stationed at home and overseas. Send us a video (under 45 seconds) showing your support of UAB football. In the video please state your name, rank, where you are stationed and a message to UAB fans. Make sure to throw a "Go Blazers" into your message.
Photo Request - In addition to videos, we are also asking for photos of our servicemen and women supporting the Blazers. Break out your favorite UAB gear, wave that UAB flag and snap us a pic where you are stationed.
Civilian Videos
Show your appreciation for the brave men and women who defend our nation. Gather your friends and family members, deck yourself out in UAB gear and record a "Thank You" message to our troops. Please keep the video under 30 seconds.
