UAB Looks To Carry Momentum To Middle Tennessee

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The UAB football team continued preparations on Thursday afternoon for its road test at Middle Tennessee Saturday. The Blazers and Blue Raiders are set to kick off at 2:35 p.m. CT.
As UAB eyes its third-straight win this season, head coach Bill Clark knows how important it is for the team to forget about last week's game and focus on the upcoming opponent.
"We have to move on," Clark said. "Our guys are starting to get that. We saw that Saturday. We did the best about eliminating distractions and honing in. Every week I try to say, `this is something we have had an issue with, how do we fix it?' It is so much about focus. We have to stay super hungry. As we have said before, it's all about this game. It's all about this week. It's nothing about anybody else. If we do that, we have a chance."
The Blazers have been playing extremely well on defense all season, and after the North Texas game Clark feels that the offense is also coming together and found its identity.
"We have determined who we need to be. A couple weeks ago, we had to do some self-analysis of who we are. The FIU game really made us take a hard look at ourselves. We want to be a tempo team, we have to run the ball, and we want to get the ball out of Cody's hand with quick, effective throws. We are also going to take our deep shots, and we have to be able to hit those."
Saturday's game will air on FOX College Sports with Mike Morgan, JC Pearson and Steffi Sorensen on the call. Fans can listen to the game on the Blazer IMG Sports Network locally on WUHT-FM 107.7 with David Crane, Steve Irvine and Sam Miller.
