NOBLESVILLE, Ind. - Significant rain and unplayable course conditions stopped play in the final round of the Sagamore Fall Preview on Tuesday. The scores will revert back to the results from the conclusion of the 36 holes Monday.
The teams had to deal with inclement weather most of the day Monday, with the second round able to finish just before dark. The final round was called early as not all of the golfers had made it on to the course.
UAB`s Lee Hodges had made it through two holes, but Will Cannon had not teed off as the final Blazer to take the course.
The Blazers finished fourth as a team at 591 (+15). Cannon led UAB with an 11th place finish, his highest of the season. He carded a 2-over 146 in the first two rounds.
Junior Martin Rohwer tied for 12th in the event, recording a 147 (+3). Senior Paul Dunne was just a stroke back in a tie for 18th. He finished 4-over with a 148. Freshman Taylor Eyster sealed his debut with a 6-over 150 to tie for 26th and fellow freshman Lee Hodges tied for 53rd after a 155 (+11).
The Sagamore Preview concluded the fall season for UAB. The Blazers will have a break before picking back up in the spring with the Gator Invitational from Feb. 15-17 in Gainesville, Fla.
