BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ---- The UAB baseball team claimed a series at Tulane over the weekend to earn the No. 8 seed at the Conference USA Tournament, hosted by Rice in Houston from May 22-26 at Reckling Park.
As the No. 8 seed, the Blazers will compete in Pod 1, which also consists of top seed Rice, fourth-seeded Memphis and fifth-seeded UCF in the eight-team pool play tournament.
The second pod includes No. 2 Southern Miss, No. 3 East Carolina, No. 6 Houston and No. 7 Tulane.
Below is a list of UAB game times at the C-USA Tournament:
G1: Wed., 7 p.m. CT
(8) UAB vs. (1) Rice
G2: Thurs., 3 p.m. CT
(8) UAB vs. (4) Memphis
G3: Fri., 7 p.m. CT
(8) UAB vs. (5) UCF
If the Blazers were to advance to the C-USA Championship game on Saturday, they would have an off day on Friday, due to the pool play schedule. The title game is set for 1 p.m. CT on Saturday and will be televised by CBS Sports Network.
