Prinzing Claims UAB Student-Athlete Of The Week Award

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ---- Outfielder Ryan Prinzing of the Blazer baseball team was recently named UAB Student-Athlete of the Week for his excellence in the classroom and on the diamond.
Prinzing, a native of Oswego, Ill., has excelled in the classroom, accumulating a 3.62 GPA as a business management major. He has twice been named to the Conference USA Commissioner's Honor Roll.
At the plate, Prinzing has put forth a strong campaign in his junior season. The left-handed hitter owns a .351 batting average, ranking fourth in C-USA and his .455 on-base percentage is tops in the league.
On March 12 at Troy, Prinzing went 3-for-4 with three runs scored, three RBI and launched his first career homer at UAB, as the Blazers defeated the Trojans, 9-3.
