Rifle's Morgan Fancher Earns SAOW

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ---- Morgan Fancher of the Blazer rifle team was recently named UAB Student Athlete of the Week for being on target both in the classroom and at the shooting range.

Fancher, a junior from Pelham, Ala.,  has maintained a 3.69 GPA as chemistry major.

In UAB's last event, the UT Martin Invitational, Fancher finished 23rd individually in the air rifle competition  with a total score of 548.  In the six rounds she took aim, Fancher recorded scores of 89 or better in each stanza, including an individual high of 94 in her fifth round.
