Two All-Conference
The Blazers bring back to All-C-USA selections in seniors Karisma Chapman and Ashley Grimes. Each averaged double-digits last season, as Chapman led the team with 13.5 ppg and Grimes added 11.9 ppg. UAB is the only current team in Conference
Newcomers Look To Make Impact
Freshman Janeka Williams scored 16 points in both exhibition games for the Blazers. Against Georgia Southwestern, junior Miranda Burroughs buried three 3-pointers to tally nine points in the win and freshman Kasey Drayton hit a three at the halftime buzzer to give UAB a 43-20 lead.
Four-Straight Winning Seasons
UAB will look to extend its streak of winning seasons to five after finishing 18-13 in the 2012-13 season. Since 2009, the Blazers have amassed 74 wins and claimed a Women's Basketball Invitational Championship in the 2010-11 season.
