Getting To Know You: Schenia Battle

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Sophomore Schenia Battle sat down with UABsports.com in the latest installment of question and answers with the UAB women’s basketball team. She talks about the coaches, how she got started playing basketball and much more. 

Battle, a native of Calumet City, Ill., appeared in eight games last season for the Blazers. She and senior Karisma Chapman both attended Fractional North High School before coming to UAB.

The Blazers open the 2013-14 season this weekend at the Emerald Beach Islanders Classic. They face Fairfield on Friday, Nov. 8 at 2 p.m. and then will play the winner of Western Illinois and Texas-Corpus Christi on Saturday, Nov. 9.
