Blazers Giving Back By Visiting Local Elementary Schools

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Members of the UAB women's basketball team spent some time giving back to the community last week, making trips to Barrett Elementary and Liberty Park Elementary to join kids out on the basketball court.
The Blazers coordinated games with the students at both of the elementary schools. Along with spending time outside on the basketball court, the Blazers went inside and assisted the students in the classroom.
UAB's women's basketball team will begin its season on Oct. 28 for an exhibition game against Georgia Southwestern at 7 p.m. CT. Fans can also come out to Hoops on the Haasephalt on Friday, Oct. 4 beginning at 6 p.m. to meet the team.
