BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The UAB women’s soccer team will hit the road to cap the 2013 regular season on Thursday night for a Halloween conference tilt against FAU.
UAB enters the contest as one of the top three teams in the Conference USA East Division, while FAU ranks seventh in the division with nine total points.

In its most recent outing, the Blazers defeated North Texas, 2-0, on Oct. 27 at West Campus Field in UAB’s home finale.
The Blazers and Mean Green swapped goals over a span of 20 minutes to open the second half. Kimberly Fincher opened the scoring frame in the 57th minute, and assisted Johanna Liney in the 73rd minute to give the Blazers the 2-1 win.
10 Win Season/Warren’s Success
Head coach Harold Warren has led the Blazers to 10 wins for the first time since the 2009 season. UAB picked up win No. 10 at Old Dominion on Oct. 20, which marks the fifth 10-win season for the squad since 2000.
The Green and Gold have reached at least 11 wins in six different seasons dating back to the inaugural season in 1996. UAB will go for win No. 12 Thursday night to wrap up the regular season, and look to record just the fourth season of 12 wins or better in program history.
