Women's Golf Finishes 11th At Beach Blast

GULF SHORES, Ala. --- The UAB women's golf team took home an 11th-place finish in the UAB Fall Beach Blast after the squad fired a 319 team total on Tuesday.
The Blazers finished 67-over par and improved by five strokes on the final day of the event.
Tulsa was the team champion of the tournament, firing a 14-over, 293 in the 36-hole event. Just behind the Golden Hurricane was ULM, which shot an 18-over par, 594 through two days.
Leading UAB on Tuesday was senior Caitlin Watts, who improved by three strokes to finish 13-over par -- good for a 40th-place finish. Teammate Margaret Yeh shot a 14-over, 158 through two rounds to finish tied for 45th.
UAB wraps up the fall season at the USA Women's Invitational in Mobile, Ala., on Nov. 4-5.
