Getting To Know Women's Basketball: Kasey Drayton

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The 2013-14 UAB women's basketball season tips off on Monday, Oct. 28 at 7 p.m. CT. To continue the weekly features with the team, this week UABsports.com had a chance to sit down and talk to freshman Kasey Drayton.

Drayton hails from St. Petersburg, Fla., where she played at Lakewood High School. She led her team to the Florida Final Four as a junior and averaged 15 points per game. Check out the video above to get to know more about Drayton off the court.

The Blazers will open the 2013-14 season with an exhibition game against Georgia Southwestern on Monday, Oct. 28 at 7 p.m. CT. The game has been designated as Haunted Hoops. Fans are encouraged to dress up and come out for Halloween-themed events and surprises.
