Getting To Know Women's Basketball: Janeka Williams

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - With the 2013-14 UAB women's basketball season quickly approaching, it is time to get to know the players and coaches. This week UABsports.com had a chance to sit down and talk to freshman Janeka Williams.

Williams, a native of Memphis, Tenn., is a guard for the Blazers. She was the second-leading scorer on her high school team last season. Check out the video above to get to know more about her.

The Blazers will open the 2013-14 season with an exhibition game against Georgia Southwestern on Monday, Oct. 28 at 7 p.m. CT.
