Practice Continues As Gameday Nears

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.--The UAB football team practiced for about an hour and a half in shells on Thursday afternoon to prepare for Saturday's opener against Troy.
Kickoff against the Trojans is scheduled for 11 a.m. at Legion field and will be televised on Fox College Sports with Mike Gleason (pxp), Ben Leber (analyst) and Lesley McCaslin (sidelines) on the call.
The contest will also air on radio locally on the Blazer IMG Sports Network on WUHT-FM 107.7. David Crane will call the action and John Whitcomb will provide analysis for the Blazers.
"I like our team a lot," said head coach Garrick McGee. "I like the sacrifices that they have made so far, and we still have a lot of work to do. We are one of those crews that believe the hay is never in the barn. We continue preparation up until kickoff."
