Six Blazers Set PRs On Final Day Of Meyo Invite

SOUTH BEND, Ind. - Six Blazers set or matched personal-records on the final day of competition Saturday at the 25th annual Meyo Invitational at the Notre Dame Loftus Sports Center.
In the first event of the day, senior Kristina Vaughn ran the 3,000 meters and placed third with a personal-best time of 9:55.00. Freshman Kristie Leybourne raced to a season-best 10:37.55 in the same event.
Redshirt sophomore Angel Watson set two personal bests on Saturday. After matching her best time in the preliminaries, the Mobile, Ala. native finished the 60 meters with a personal-record 7.61.
Earlier in the day, Watson competed in the 200 meters. She took third in that race with a personal-best time of 24.24.
Sophomore Kyana White ran to a personal-best time of 58.52 in the 400 meters, while teammate Rachel Harley crossed the same line in 58.64, also a PR.
Mid-distance runner Lucy Taylor shaved almost two minutes off her personal best 800-meter time, logging a 2:15.68.
Freshman Kendra Gipson matched her season-best distance after triple jumping 11.99m (39-4) for 13th place.
