Hello Blazer Fans!
We got back from our UTEP and Colorado College trip late Sunday night. Coach gave us both Monday and Tuesday off to recover from the long weekend. A few of the girls are in the same psychology class, and they had a big exam on Monday that they had been studying for over the weekend.
On Wednesday, we were back out on the field working on build up and creating opportunities. We also had workouts with our strength and conditioning coach after practice.
Friday we took on Houston, another hard fought game that we just couldn't manage to finish. It was a tough loss. We really needed to come out much stronger than we did. We were grateful to have the men's team out there cheering for us; we always appreciate the support!
I do have to say, despite having a tough season, our team has stayed very close and the chemistry and camaraderie amongst the girls has held strong. Obviously I was expecting better results this season, but I am happy that the team has still remained close. This is always important regardless of our record.
We took on Rice, who is in first place in the conference standings on Sunday. We came back from being down 3-0 but were only able to score 2 goals. It was yet another heartbreaker.
We are headed to Dallas to take on SMU and Tulsa this weekend for our last conference road trip. As always, we appreciate your continued support through a rough season. Go Blazers!
