Moser and Woods Honored With UAB Advisor Award

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ----- Daniel Moser, a junior on the UAB men's tennis team, and Alison Woods, a sophomore on the volleyball team, have been named recipients of the Advisor Award.
The award, presented by the Blazers' Department of Student-Athlete Support Services, recognizes student-athletes for their academic and athletic achievements. Moser and Woods have demonstrated hard work and dedicated themselves to improvement in the classroom.
Moser, from North Shore City, New Zealand, and Woods, from Franklin, Tenn., will be recognized at Thursday's UAB softball doubleheader against Chattanooga.
The Advisor Award was created to recognize and reward student-athletes who exhibit hard work ethic and study habits, setting an example for their fell student-athletes as they strive for academic excellence.
The honorees have taken the initiative to improve their academic standing and have shown responsibility in meeting requirements as a student-athlete.
