UAB Adds Two Assistant Directors of Sales and Development

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ----- The UAB Athletics Department has named a pair of assistant directors of sales and development to its staff, Blazers' athletic director Brian Mackin has announced.
Joey Daly, who most recently worked as an intern with ISP Sports at Georgia Tech, and Chance Jones, who held an intern position with the Dallas Cowboys last year, will join UAB's development staff under the overall direction of senior associate athletics director Shannon Ealy.
In Daly's role he will be responsible for group and individual ticket sales initiatives for all sports, as well as overseeing the athletic department's Sales Academy.
Jones will be involved in recruiting new Blazer Club members, serving as the primary contact for the Blazer Rep Program, soliciting corporate ticket packages, and assisting in the planning and coordination of special events.
"We are excited to have Joey and Chance join our staff," said Brad Hardekopf, UAB's Director of Sales and Development. "Our goal is to continue to expand our fan base, and both of these individuals will assist us in these efforts."
Daly is a 2007 graduate of Rhodes College in Memphis and earned a masters degree in sports administration from Georgia State in 2010. Jones is a 2006 graduate of Alabama and earned masters degrees from Ohio University in business administration (2009) and sports administration last summer.
