LaShaunda Pratt Named Student-Athlete Of The Week

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- LaShaunda Pratt of the Blazer women's basketball team has been selected as the UAB Student-Athlete of the Week.
A fifth-year senior and a product of Winston-Salem, N.C., Pratt has already graduated with a degree in psychology and is working on a second bachelor's degree in business.
She earned a spot on the Conference USA Commissioner's Honor Roll last year in her first season playing for the Blazers after transferring from Boston College.
Pratt, a guard who averaged 8.8 points per game last season, ranks second on this year's team with 13.2 points per contest while also adding 4.4 rebounds per game and shooting 38 percent from 3-point range. She scored a career-high 24 points earlier this season against McNeese State.
Pratt and the Blazers (3-2) play a road contest Wednesday at 6 p.m. ET (5 p.m. CT) at Morehead State in the first of three straight games away from home.
