Pascale Pinard Receives All-Academic Honors

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- Senior Pascale Pinard earned Conference USA All-Academic First Team honors for women’s soccer, as announced Thursday by the league office. The award marks the second-straight honor for Pinard, as she was named to the conference all-academic second team in 2010.
Pinard continued her academic and athletic success into her senior campaign. A native of Trois-Rivieres, Quebec, Pinard is a three-time recipient of the C-USA Commissioner’s Academic Medal and three-time member of the C-USA Commissioner’s Honor Roll.
Pinard, who started 18 of UAB’s 19 matches this season, scored two goals and took 26 shots on the year, both career-highs.
The Blazers finished the 2011 season with a 6-12-1 overall record and a 3-7-1 mark in Conference USA action.
