BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- The UAB women's basketball team returns home to host the Marshall Thundering Herd on Sunday. Tipoff is slated for 2 p.m. in Bartow Arena.
Marshall leads the series, 7-5. The home team won each of last year's contests, with Marshall capturing an 85-84 double overtime win in Huntington on Jan. 30 before the Blazers earned a 45-44 victory in Birmingham on Feb. 27. Prior to UAB's win in February, the Thundering Herd had won four in a row over the Blazers. UAB is 2-3 against Marshall in Bartow Arena and 4-7 against the Herd since it joined Conference USA for the 2005-06 season.
