UAB Athletics Announces Inaugural Advisor Award

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- The UAB Athletic Department is honoring eight students-athletes with the inaugural Advisor Award. These student-athletes have demonstrated hard work and dedicated themselves to improvement in the classroom.
The honorees are Stephen Allen (football), Terence Edge (football), Jared Koechner (football), Joe Waller (football), Aaron Johnson (men's basketball), Bianca LeBlanc (cross country), Timara McMillan (track) and Cameron Skates (softball).
The Advisor Award was created to recognize and reward student-athletes who exhibit strong work ethic and study habits, setting an example for their fellow student-athletes as they strive for academic excellence. The honorees have taken the initiative to improve their academic standing and have shown responsibility in meeting requirements as a student-athlete.
The Advisor Award recipients will be recognized at Friday's UAB-Marshall baseball game that is scheduled to start at 6:30 p.m. CT.
