UAB Men's Tennis Travels To Mississippi State Friday

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ----- The UAB men's tennis team will be in action for a pair of dual matches this weekend. The Blazers (4-2) travel to Starkville, Miss. to take on No. 58-ranked Mississippi State on Friday (1:00 p.m. CT) before returning home to play host to in-state foe Jacksonville State.
The home match against the Gamecocks is scheduled to start at 2:00 p.m. at the Lakeshore Tennis Center.
The Blazers have not played since defeating New Orleans, 4-0, last Saturday.
UAB's David Zimmerman and Danny Manlow, both in their first seasons as Blazers, have a combined singles record of 9-0 thus far in dual match play.
Mississippi State is 3-3 in duals. Friday's match will be the 2010 home opener for the Bulldogs. State defeated UAB by a 5-2 score in last season's meeting.
