BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- The UAB Student-Athlete Advisory Committee's food drive continues through Saturday with the organization collecting canned food items at three Blazer home events this week.
The drive, organized in conjunction with Conference USA's Changing Lives Program, benefits the Magic City Harvest Food Bank.
UAB student-athletes will be collecting canned goods at Tuesday's women's basketball game (7 p.m.) and Friday's volleyball match (7 p.m.) at Bartow Arena, along with Saturday's football game (3 p.m.) at Legion Field.
Students, faculty and staff can also drop off food items throughout the week in designated containers located in residence halls, the Bell Building and the Ullman Building.
The food drive serves as a friendly competition among all 12 Conference USA member schools, and the institution that collects the most food (measured by weight) will be presented with the C-USA SAAC Cup.
