BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- UAB fans in the Port City will now be able to follow the Blazers throughout the remainder of the 2010 basketball season. The Blazers ISP Sports Network announced on Friday the addition of WPAS-FM in Mobile to its line-up of affiliates.
The 60,000-watt station will begin airing Blazer basketball starting with Saturday night's Conference USA showdown with the UTEP Miners in Birmingham.
"We are thrilled to add WPAS-FM to our network," said David Crane, the Director of Broadcasting for the Blazers ISP Sports Network.
"They will provide our fans in Mobile and all of South Alabama with tremendous coverage, and it's great to have them come on board at this time, so Blazer supporters will be able to enjoy the rest of what has been an amazing season thus far," Crane said.
In addition to basketball, WPAS-FM will also carry UAB football games in the upcoming 2010 season, as well as the weekly call-in show during the fall with head coach Neil Callaway.
International Sports Properties (ISP) is based in Winston-Salem, N.C., and is the multimedia rights holder at UAB and more than 60 other properties across the country.
