UAB Athletics Starting Blazer Fundraiser Initiative-

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ----- The UAB Athletics Department is initiating a fundraising opportunity for nonprofit organizations in the Birmingham community.


Through the ticket sales of UAB Flex Packs and Family Four Packs, the Blazer Fundraiser will give groups an excellent opportunity to raise monies for their organization. 

In order to qualify, an organization must qualify as a nonprofit organization as defined in one of the following ways:


• Educational - monies to be used to support a school or school related organization for ages 6th grade and below (groups that are associated with the school such as parents association, jump rope team, clubs, etc.) 

• Religious - monies to be used to support a non-profit church activity or church related organization 

• Charitable - monies to be used to support a charitable organization or benevolent cause 

• Community - monies to be used to support a community based activity or cause


By participating in the Blazer Fundraiser, groups will market UAB Flex Packs and Family Four Packs. Flex Packs are available at a cost of $120 and provides 10 good-any tickets to any UAB sporting event where general admission seating is available.
These tickets can be used in any combination at any game, giving fans complete flexibility in how they attend the games.

The Family Four Pack is available at a cost of $60 and includes four tickets to the UAB vs. Southern Miss football game on Thursday, Oct. 1, as well as four hot dogs and soft drinks.


Organizations that participate in the Blazer Fundraiser will receive a $20 compensation for every $120 they raise through the sale of Flex Packs, and $5 for every $60 they raise through the sale of Blazer Four Packs to the UAB-Southern Miss game.
