UAB Honors 71 For National Student-Athlete Day

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The UAB Athletics Department recognized 71 student-athletes as a part of National Student-Athlete Day this past Monday. Each year, the National Consortium for Academics and Sports and the Northeastern University Center for the Study of Sport in Society partner with the NCAA to recognize National Student-Athlete Day.
As a part of this national celebration, UAB chose to honor selected student-athletes that are striving for excellence in academics and athletics, as well as making significant contributions to the community.
Fourteen different sports had players recognized, with the Blazer football team having the most honorees with 14.
