HUNTSVILLE, Ala. -- Wednesday's scheduled baseball game between UAB and Alabama A&M has been called off. No make-up date has been announced.
Alabama A&M's Bulldog Field in Huntsville, Ala., took too much water from overnight rains in the area and forced the cancellation of the game.
Wednesday's game would have been the second road contest in as many days for the Blazers, who picked up a 10-4 win Tuesday at Jacksonville State in their first road game of the year.
UAB (3-1) now turns its attention to a three-game home series this weekend against Presbyterian. The Blue Hose lost three games last weekend at Georgia Southern and are in the middle of a two-game midweek series at Georgia.
Friday's first pitch between UAB and Presbyterian is scheduled for 4 p.m. CT at Young Memorial Field. Saturday's game time is set for 2 p.m. CT, while Sunday's finale is slated for a 1 p.m. CT start.
