'Lose The Shoes' 3v3 Grassroot Soccer Tournament Postponed

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- Due to inclement weather conditions that have been in the area, the Lose the Shoes 3v3 Grassroot Soccer Tournament that was scheduled for this Friday has been cancelled. Plans are currently being made to reschedule the tournament in the Spring of 2010. Please check back with uabsports.com for more information.
The UAB women's soccer team will return to action this weekend when it battles Tulsa on Friday night at 7 p.m. at West Campus Field. The evening, which will double as UAB's Senior Night, will also serve as the Blazers' HIV/AIDS awareness game. A silent auction will be held during the UAB/Tulsa game and all proceeds from this auction will benefit both Grassroot Soccer and Birmingham AIDS Outreach.
In addition, the team will honor the four women's soccer seniors: Danya Barsalona, Danielle Blair, Toni Gockel and Ayana Russell.
