Blazers Sign Four Junior College Prospects

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ----- UAB head football coach Neil Callaway has announced the signing of four junior college prospects. The group includes a trio from Tyler (Texas) Junior College and a safety from Orange Coast College in California.
All four recruits will enroll at UAB in January.
Brothers Kyle and Ryan Roget of Arlington, Texas are two of the players from Tyler JC. Kyle is a 6-1, 235-pound linebacker while Ryan is a 6-3, 285-pound offensive lineman. Tyler teammate Daniel Seahorn (6-2, 300), a product of Houston, is another offensive lineman prospect joining the Blazers.
Meanwhile, Chris Assily (6-1, 215), a highly-regarded safety, will also be coming on board in January. Assily, who hails from Honolulu, Hawaii, played two years at Orange Coast College in Costa Mesa, Calif. He was second on the team in tackles (56) in 2006 and also had four interceptions. He earned All-Mission Conference honors. He was a 2006 honorable mention All-American.
In 2005, Assily recorded 44 tackles. Assily also had success as a kick returner, averaging 9.9 on punt returns and 26.3 on kickoff returns.
