Air Force Flyover For UAB Football Game Cancelled

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ----- The UAB Athletic department regrets to announce that the Air Force flyover scheduled for the UAB-UCF football game Saturday night has been cancelled due to scheduling difficulties.
The Air Force issued the following statement regarding the cancellation of the flyover. "Due to scheduling difficulties beyond our control, AFROTC Detachment 012 regrettably announces the KC-135 flyover for the November 10th UAB football game has been canceled. We sincerely regret and apologize for any inconvenience this may cause," 2Lt Dwayne Custer of Detachment 012 said.
While the flyover has been cancelled, there are still many military activities that will be taking place in conjunction with Military Apprciatation Day at Saturday night's game, including special recognition of military personnel and various military displays. All military personnel with a valid military ID are admitted to the game for free.
