Baseball To Hold Green vs. Gold Series This Weekend

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The UAB baseball team began its 33-day fall camp on Oct. 4 and will now hold its Green vs. Gold series at Young Memorial Field this weekend. All seven games of the series are open to the public with game one getting underway Friday at approximately 4:40 p.m. with game two to follow immediately after.
Each game of the series will be a three-inning showdown between the UAB split squads.
Games three, four and five will take place on Saturday beginning at 12:00 p.m. Sunday's final two games of the series will get underway starting at 3:00 p.m.
UAB returns five starters and a total of 19 letterwinners from 2007, in addition to welcoming 14 newcomers to the mix.
The Blazers are coming off a season in which they finished in a tie for fourth place in the Conference USA standings.
