BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The UAB women's basketball team dropped its overtime contest against the Marshall Thundering Herd, 75-69, Saturday evening at Bartow Arena. "We fought hard and gave it all we had," said UAB head coach Audra Smith. "But, fatigue really set in during overtime.
"Diamond (Rogers) and Carmen (Guzman) really stepped up to the plate tonight and gave it everything they had. They had 49 of our 69 points. We've got to get other people that are going to be able step up and knock down shots."

A missed shot by UAB in the last seconds of regulation forced overtime.
