Blazers Face Birmingham-Southern in Monday Match

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - After a week of practice and no games, the UAB women's soccer team is ready to hit the field again. The Blazers are scheduled to face cross-town rival Birmingham-Southern on Monday evening. The match is schedule for a 7 p.m. kickoff at the Birmingham-Southern Soccer Park.
UAB enters Monday's game with a record of 2-5, while the BSC Panthers have an overall mark of 3-6. The Blazers have recorded wins over Alabama and most recently, Mercer. The Panthers have earned victories over Jacksonville State, Austin Peay and High Point.
Monday will mark the sixth meeting between the two programs, with UAB holding a 5-0 series lead over the Panthers. The last meeting was in 2005, where the Blazers earned a 4-1 victory at home.
UAB's next home match will be on Friday, September 29 when the Blazers open their conference schedule by hosting Marshall in a 7 p.m. game at West Campus Field.
