UAB's Osborn Named Third Team All-American

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ---- UAB junior golfer Garrett Osborn has recently been selected as a member of Golfweek's third team All-American squad.
The Birmingham native has received this honor along with being named twice to the All-Conference USA team, as well as being ranked as high as second in the national rankings in the fall. He ended his junior season rated 30th in the nation. He was also named to the PING All-Southeast region team by the Golf Coaches Association.
The junior golfer also set new UAB records with an 18-hole round of 62 and 54-hole round of 97, at the Jerry Pate National Intercollegiate this past season.
This accolade comes even after Osborn was forced to withdraw from the NCAA regional, for which he received an at-large invitation, due to a wrist injury.
