Tip off the 2004-05 Blazer basketball season with a huge evening of UAB sports. First, watch the Blazer football team take on TCU at 7:00 p.m. at Legion Field, then speed over to Bartow Arena for a sneak preview of the 2004-05 UAB men¹s and women¹s basketball teams. The Fastest 40 Minutes in Basketball is ready to make another run at the NCAA, and the Lady Blazers are excited about a new start with head coach Audra Smith.
Doors will open at 10:30 p.m. with music, giveaways, inflatable games for the kids, and free popcorn and soft drinks. Meet the coaches and get autographs from your favorite Blazer players and then watch at midnight as the teams take to the court for their first scrimmage of the new season.
All fans are encouraged to bring a canned good item to benefit Magic City Harvest.
