Blazers Travel To Cincinnati For Three-Game Series

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The UAB baseball team will travel to Cincinnati for a three-game Conference USA series against the Bearcats Thursday-Saturday in the final weekend of C-USA play. Thursday and Friday, the teams meet at 7:30 p.m. (ET) and Saturday's first pitch is scheduled for 1 p.m. (ET).
All three games of the series will be broadcast live via the world wide web on the Blazers' official athletics website, www.uabsports.com. For those who are not Yahoo! subscribers, a monthly subscription can be purchased for $4.95 per month and a season-long subscription may be purchased for $14.95. UAB (26-26, 11-15 C-USA) currently places eighth in the C-USA standings. The Blazers are a game back of the University of South Florida, who is in seventh place, and one and a half games ahead of Louisville, who is in ninth place. The top eight teams advance to the C-USA Tournament, which will be held May 26-30 in Houston, Texas.
Louisville plays a three-game series at USF Thursday-Saturday.
The Blazers are coming off a 16-4 win at Samford last Tuesday. UAB has won seven of its last nine road games, including five of six in C-USA play on the road.
Cincinnati (14-38, 5-22 C-USA) won a 5-1 decision at Akron last Tuesday in its last outing.
