Blazers To Host Houston In Three-Game C-USA Series

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The UAB baseball team will host Houston in a three-game Conference USA series over the weekend at Young Memorial Field. Friday, the teams meet at 7 p.m., Saturday's game begins at 2 p.m. and Sunday's first pitch is scheduled for noon.
UAB (14-10, 2-3 Conference USA) is coming off a 6-5 loss at Mississippi State last Tuesday in Starkville, Miss. Houston (9-18, 2-4 C-USA) suffered an 8-3 loss at fourth-ranked Rice last Tuesday in its last outing.
Saturday and Sunday's games will be broadcast via the world wide web on the Blazers' official athletics website, www.uabsports.com. For those who are not Yahoo! subscribers, a monthly subscription can be purchased for $4.95 per month and a season-long subscription may be purchased for $14.95. Tickets to each game are $5 for adults, $2 for children ages 3-12, children 2 and under are admitted free and UAB students are admitted free with a valid student ID.
