Blazers To Host Toledo In Three-Game Series

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The UAB baseball team will host Toledo in a three-game series over the weekend at Young Memorial Field. Friday, the teams square off at 6 p.m., Saturday's game begins at 2 p.m. and Sunday's first pitch is scheduled for 1 p.m.
The game immediately follows the UAB men's basketball game against TCU, which begins at noon.
UAB (7-2) coming off a 5-3 loss to No. 31 Alabama last Wednesday in Tuscaloosa. The Blazers are currently receiving votes in the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association Poll.
Toledo (0-3) opened up its season last weekend at Morehead State. Morehead State swept the three-game series with the Rockets, winning 16-11 last Sunday, 9-8 last Saturday and 15-8 last Friday.
Saturday's game has been designated as "Fan Appreciation Day." All fans will receive free admission to the contest.
Tickets for Friday and Sunday's games are $5 for adults, $2 for children ages 3-12, children 2 and under are admitted free and UAB students are admitted free with a valid student ID.
