Honolulu - The UAB football team dealt with rainy conditions, as it held its final practice prior to Friday's game against Hawai'i in the Sheraton Hawai'i Bowl. The Blazers will have meetings on Thursday before facing the Warriors at 2:00 p.m. (HST) on Christmas Eve.
"We didn't change practice at all due to the rain," said UAB head coach Watson Brown. "The practice was good and we did exactly what we were going to do without the rain. I wanted this to be a light practice. We've run them a lot this week and I wanted to give them a chance to get their legs back. We had a short one today and we'll meet with them tomorrow."
UAB was on the Aloha Stadium field for just over an hour today, as the Blazers practiced in shorts and helmets.
The Blazers take on Hawai'i on Dec. 24 in their first bowl game in school history. The game is being televised on ESPN.
