Blazers Host Saint Louis In Final Regular Season Series

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The UAB baseball team will host Saint Louis in the final Conference USA series of the season Thursday-Saturday at Young Memorial Field. Thursday and Friday, the teams will square off at 7 p.m. and Saturday's first pitch is scheduled for 1 p.m.
Saturday's game has been designated "Senior Day." The Blazers will honor the nine seniors on the team. The 2003 seniors include Scott Gibson (pitcher/Six Mile, Ala.), Lucas Trotter (pitcher/Rehobeth, Ala.), Kevin Brannon (pitcher/Madrid, Ala.), Jon Burgett (pitcher/Old Hickory, Tenn.), Quincy Williams (outfielder/Smiths, Ala.), Pete Giangrosso (catcher/Alexander City, Ala.), Mitch Jones (outfielder/Birmingham, Ala.), Kyle Leon (outfielder/Guelph, Ontario, Canada) and Cody Cillo (pitcher/Lynwood, Wash.).
UAB (24-26, 9-17 Conference USA) is coming off a 7-4 loss at Samford last Tuesday. The Blazers need to win at least two games in the series to have a chance at clinching a C-USA Tournament berth.
Saint Louis (18-29, 6-21 Conference USA) is coming off a 14-0 loss against Southern Illinois last Tuesday.
Tickets for each game are $5 for adults, $2 for children ages 3-12, children 2 and under are admitted free and UAB students are admitted free with a valid student ID.
