Baseball Team To Host No. 17 Alabama

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The UAB baseball team will host No. 17 Alabama Wednesday at 7 p.m. at Young Memorial Field.
UAB (18-5, 3-2 Conference USA) is coming off a 6-5 Conference USA win at South Florida last Saturday. The Blazers split the series with the Bulls 1-1, as Sunday's game was canceled due to inclement weather. UAB is outscoring its opponents 181-96 and batting .307 as a team. The Blazer pitching staff leads Conference USA in opposing batting average (.220) and ranks second in ERA (3.04).
Alabama (18-5, 4-2 Southeastern Conference) is coming off a 6-5 loss at Florida last Sunday in Southeastern Conference play. The Gators took two games out of the three-game series. Alabama is ranked 17th in the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association poll.
Tickets are $5 for adults, $2 for children ages 3-12, children 2 and under are admitted free and UAB students are admitted free with a valid student ID.
