Men's Golf Team Finishes In 14th At Seminole Intercollegiate

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. ----- The UAB men's golf team closed out competition at the Seminole Intercollegiate here Tuesday by shooting a final score of 898 (294-304-300) to finish in 14th overall. The University of North Carolina won the event with a total score of 849 on the par 72, 6,287-yard course.
The Blazers were led by sophomore Ryan Thomas who shot a 221 (69-76-76) to finish in a tie for 32nd overall. Freshman Tigh VanLeeuwen followed Thomas with a 227 (74-76-77) to place 61st overall. Clarke Brown (75-75-78) and Nathan Turner (76-77-75) tied for 62nd with a 228 each, while Michael Harrell finished in 74th with a 238 (80-86-72).
UAB will next be in competition when it travels to Brookwood, Ala. to compete at the Alabama Conrad Rehling Invitational on March 14-16.
