BIRMINGHAM, Ala.----- On Tuesday, the UAB football team (5-5, 4-2 C-USA) continued to prepare for its C-USA game with Louisville (6-4, 4-2 C-USA) this Saturday in Louisville, Ky. The Blazers are coming off a critical 36-29 victory over East Carolina on November 23. UAB will be looking for its sixth win of the season, something they need in order to become bowl-eligible.
"We seemed to have more people practicing on Tuesday than we've been having the last few weeks and that was good," said Brown. "Thurman (Pearson) and Darrell (Hackney) got a few more snaps than they did last Tuesday. We're probably in a little better shape than we were last week. It's late in the year, so there was a lot more assignment work than there was earlier in the year."
The Cardinals are coming off a dramatic 20-17 overtime win at Southern Miss on Thursday and will honor 14 seniors at the final home game of the season for Louisville. This game will be the first of two road games for the Blazers. Saturday's game is the third meeting between Louisville and UAB. The Cardinals have claimed both contests, the last being a 38-17 win in Birmingham in 2000.
UAB's kickoff with Louisville is scheduled for noon (CT) on Saturday, November 23, at Papa John's Cardinal Stadium.
