Osborn Continues Stellar Play At Billy Hitchcock Intercollegiate

OPELIKA, Ala. - Junior Payton Osborn of the 24th-ranked UAB men's golf team continued his stellar play shooting an even-par 72 to keep his two-stroke lead at the Billy Hitchcock Intercollegiate in Opelika. Osborn shot a first round 5-under par 67 to lead the 12-team field on the par-72, 6689-yard Saugahatchee Country Club. With a 139 total, Osborn goes into the final round keeping his two-stroke lead over Alan Morgan of LSU and Kevin Haefner of Alabama tied for second at 141.
Georgia State and Auburn are tied for the lead at 570, with UAB just three strokes back at 573.
Also for the Blazers, Graeme McDowell (73-70/143) and Daniel Ozley (72-71/143) are tied for ninth place , while teammates Craig Gordon (75-75/150) and Drew Jones (73-77/150) are tied for 38th place.
The final round of play will begin at 8:00 a.m. CST Sunday morning.
