Women's Soccer Host Louisville Sunday

BIRMINGHAM - The UAB women's soccer team will face Conference USA rival Louisville this Sunday in the first of a three game homestand. Match time is set for 1:00 p.m. at West Campus Field.
The Blazers enter Sunday 3-6 overall and 1-2 in C-USA, coming off a 3-0 win over cross-town rival Birmingham-Southern. Junior Adrienne Suffridge (Columbia, S.C.), freshman Tara Kidwell (Leesburg, Va.) and senior Denise Peters (Jacksonville, Ala.) lead the Blazers with three goals each.
The Blazers lead the overall series versus Louisville 4-1. Last year, the Blazers defeted Louisville 3-1 at West Campus Field. Louisville is currently 2-7 overall and 1-2 in C-USA play. The Cardinals are on a three game losing streak, coming off a recent 4-3 loss over Murray State.
The homestand concludes next weekend as the Blazers take on Houston Friday and TCU Sunday. Friday's match begins at 5:30 p.m., while Sunday's starts at 1:00 p.m. Both matches are doubleheaders with the men's team who play at 7:30 Friday and 3:00 Sunday.
