UAB Women's Golf Finishes Fourth at Lady Indian Classic

JONESBORO, Ark. - The UAB women's golf team shot a final round 637 to move up two spots into fourth place at the Lady Indian Classic hosted by Arkansas State University. Troy State University captured the team title shooting a final round 308, the lowest on the day.
Shooting a one-over-par 73 today, junior Heather Lourie lead the Blazers finishing tied for sixth. Lourie was just five strokes off the pace of tournament winner Nina Reis of North Texas.
Freshman Karen Quinn and sophomore Christina Gushanas both finished tied for 23rd with scores of 161.
The Blazers will compete next at the Beaconwoods Invitational in Tampa, Fla. from October 13-15. The tournament is hosted by the University of South Florida.
