Tulane Shutouts UAB In Women's Soccer Action, 3-0

NEW ORLEANS - Tiffany Lawson scored in the opening 10 minutes and the Green Wave added a pair of goals in the second half as Tulane shutout UAB 3-0 in Conference USA women's soccer action here Sunday afternoon.
The Blazers (1-9-2 overall, 0-5-1 in C-USA) got four shots off the bench from Adrienne Suffridge (Columbia, S.C.) as UAB took a total of 11 on the day.
Lawson collected her goal at the 9:05 mark of the match, while Jacque Gruber notched her goal just after the start of the second half at 46:46. Alycia Wanat completed the scoring for the Wave (6-6-0, 3-3-0) with a goal at the 63:49 mark.
UAB returns to action this Friday to begin its final homestand of the season. The first opponent of the four-match stretch will be C-USA member Memphis. Match time is slated for 7 p.m. at West Campus Field.
