Ryan Shepard

Ryan Shepard joined the UAB Football staff as a Program Assistant in July 2024. Shepard's main role in the program is assisting in the day-to-day football operations as well as assisting with recruiting and player personnel.
Prior to his time in Birmingham, Shepard was a Student Football Assistant at Eastern Illinois from 2020 to 2024. While in Charleston, he managed the recruiting database and assisted with the video operations team for EIU Football. Additionally, he assisted the staff with day-to-day football operations in coordination with the Director of Football Operations. Shepard also worked directly with the safeties from 2020-22, defensive line from 2022-23, and quarterbacks in 2024.
Shepard is a 2024 graduate of Eastern Illinois and received a B.A. in Sport Management.
