This past season he helped four players to earn several conference honors. Abbey Burns was selected to the AAC All-Conference First Team, earned AAC Offensive Player of the Week, and Honorable Mention. Freshman Louise Larson was named to the AAC All-Freshman Team, while Jette Zimmer earned a spot on the AAC All-Conference Second Team and claimed an Honorable Mention. Anika Toth claimed Goalkeeper of the Week and Honorable Mention twice.

He was an integral practice instructor who trained defenders and goalkeepers.
Also with the Tupelo Futbol Club, Costa devised position-specific practice plans for attacking players and scouting. He also held individuals training sessions for players.
Costa played two seasons at Shorter University where he appeared in 25 matches as a defender and made 19 starts for the Hawks. In his final semester, he served as a volunteer coach and completed an internship with the sports information office. Costa also spent one season as a starter at Middle Georgia State and one season at Wester Texas College.
A native of Distrito Federal, Brazil, Costa played for some of the top youth teams in the capital city of Brazil.
Costa received a bachelor’s degree from Shorter in May 2020 and an associate degree from Western Texas College in May 2018. He earned his MBA from Shippensburg in May of 2023.
